Sunday 9th September at 09.45 h.
We walk by the Hulsig Church that was built in 1893 in order to save the Hulsig parishioners the long way to a church in either Skagen or Raabjerg. From there we continue to the protected area called Pælens Mile, which has a rich flora and fauna, and soon after we arrive at the Red Bench. This spot offers a great view of Ålbæk Bay. The bay extends from Skagen in the north to the cluster of islands Hirsholmene about 30 km south and the town of Frederikshavn. The bay is a part of the Kattegat and was, in previous times, often used as an anchorage for ships before they were confronted with the westerly winds in the Skagerak at Skagen.
Registration fee includes a sandwich, fruit and 1/2 l. water
